Bushwalkers on an organised walk - Hume & Hovell Walking Track

Groups

The close proximity to wild caves, walking tracks and the bush environment means that Wee Jasper Reserves is a great place for scout and adventure groups, schools, corporate training groups and even social and sporting clubs.

The Wee Jasper Valley provides a vast natural venue for all sorts of outdoor activities. Organised adventure groups such as trail bike riders, mountain bikers, horse trail riders, cavers and bushwalkers are frequent visitors as well as defence and emergency services personnel.

There's loads of space for activities and games and plenty of fresh air!

Please CONTACT US for information on group camping prices, to book and to discuss how we can make your trip successful. We can also help arrange hire of local facilities like the Wee Jasper Memorial Hall or the village tennis courts.

Groups MUST BOOK as it helps us with management of the Reserves and ensures the best possible facilities are available to you.

There is no fee for using the Reserves for a day trip. A donation for BBQ use and shower use is appreciated.

Groups visiting for a day and who are not CAVING do not need to notify the Trust. Please make yourselves familiar with our Conditions of Use.

Cavers

Any group intending to use the wild caves managed by Wee Jasper Reserves Trust must let us know. This includes schools, scouts, commercial operators and government bodies.

Caving groups who do not advise of their intentions beforehand may be excluded from the wild caves.

It is recommended that groups of first-time cavers are taken by their instructors for a tour of Carey's Cave before visiting the wild caves. This will help give the group an insight into cave conservation and the significance of the wild caves they will be visiting.

Cavers are asked to respect the environment and other cavers. DO NOT take caving gear into the shower or toilet facilities. Cavers must respect all signs and notices.

Groups visiting for a day and who are not CAVING do not need to notify the Trust. There is no fee for using the Reserves or caves for a day trip. A donation for BBQ use and shower use is appreciated.

The Wee Jasper Reserves Trust works closely with the Canberra Speleological Society
